The Atlantic Energy Security Initiative (AESI) was launched by the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS) in November 2007 at a meeting held at the United Kingdom Defence Academy in Shrivenham, UK. The initiative seeks to create a collaborative network of public and private sector actors involved in developing and supporting energy development in the Atlantic basin and beyond.
